    We are currently looking for a Legal & Compliance Officer (Legal Counsel) to join our team.

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
    • Assisting the Compliance Manager to:
      - Assess, process, manage and resolve complaints
      - Assess, manage and process REA investigations
      - Liaise with external legal advisors in relation to CAC and READT claims
    • Assisting the General Counsel to:
      - Provide advice, guidance, and direction to the company
      - Provide privacy and AML/CFT support to the company
    • Assist with the preparation of newsletters, advisory and training materials
    • Assist to develop, implement and maintain operational 'best practice' performance standards
    To be successful in this role you will need to have a Bachelor of Laws qualification with 4+ years post qualification experience.

    Other essential skills and attributes include:
    • Understanding of residential, commercial and rural real estate transactions
    • Knowledge of the Real Estate Agents Act 2008 and regulations
    • Understanding of consumer protection legislation
    • Exceptional organisational and problem-solving skills
    • Well-developed and mature relationship-building skills
    • A proactive and innovative approach with a high level of initiative
    • A conscientious and confidential manner
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • A high standard of personal presentation and professionalism
