    The Opportunity

    Barfoot & Thompson called over 7000 auctions in the last 12 months and we are looking for the right person to lead our auction administration team in supporting our six full time and three part time auctioneers. You will be an advocate of continuous improvement, enjoying identifying ways of making processes easier and more efficient for the team.

    Working with our auction team, branches and salespeople as well as the general public, your tasks will include:
    • Creation of orders of sale, advertisements, and auction presentations
    • Preparation of auction rooms
    • Provision of appropriate auction paperwork to salespeople and managers in support of their auctions, and collection and dissemination of contracts post-auction
    • Post-auction results and statistical reporting
    About You

    This is a busy and fast-paced role that will suit a motivated individual who is comfortable under pressure and able to prioritise tasks accordingly. You would ideally come from an administration or office management background, with real estate experience being advantageous but not required.

    To be successful in this role you should display:
    • Computer literacy with the ability to pick up new systems and processes efficiently
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • An ability to manage and appropriately prioritise workload
    • High quality output with the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
    • The ability to work independently as well as co-operatively
    • Accuracy when working with facts and figures
    • The ability to maintain confidential resources and information pertaining to the business
    • A positive, willing attitude
